• Nortel Video Assistant

The Nortel Video Assistant provided on-demand video information to employees via a unique speech interface. Corporate and product video, as well as commercials, internet communications, and public relations documents were stored online on an Alex Libra media server in MPEG2 format. Using any telephone, users simply dialed the assistant and asked for the video. Nortel speech recognition technology allowed virtually anyone to dial in to make requests.
